James A. Brackensick

Jim Brackensick brings exceptional experience in managing global purchasing operations to James W. Crawford Company.  As the leader of our team, he works to create a seamless partnership among developers, owners, management companies and vendors to produce superior results.  Jim and the JWC team are especially sensitive to the need of resorts, hotels, residential complexes and retailers to maintain consistent levels of quality across multiple locations, yet maintain a strong individual presence.  His experience in overseeing high-end destination openings around the world has ensured that JWC sets a standard of excellence that others seek to follow.

Before joining JWC as President, Jim served as Senior Vice President, Purchasing, at Rosewood Hotels and Resorts for 25 years.  There, he helped form global partnerships and alliances with leading vendors and was in charge of FF&E, operational goods, kitchen and laundry.  He implemented the Rosewood Code of Excellence, which defined the luxury chain’s award-winning design and aesthetics standards and oversaw hotel and resort openings and renovations on five continents. 

Jim received a BA from Sterling College and an AOS from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
